Baby Shower Apple Cake Recipe

Follow the steps and have a fantastic apple cake for your baby's shower party.

Cake Ingredients :

1. 1 teaspoon Baking soda
2. 1/2 teaspoon Salt
3. 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
4. 1 cup Walnuteaspoon; coarsely chopped
5. 1/2 cup Brown sugar; lightly packed
6. 1 Egg
7. 2 cup Baking apples; coarsely dice
8. 1/4 cup Oil
9. 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
10. 1 cup Flour

Ingredients for Buttermilk Sauce :

1. buttermilk sauce
2. 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
3. 1/4 cup Buttermilk
4. 1/2 cup Sugar
5. 4 tb Butter
6. 2 teaspoon vinegar

Steps to Follow :

• Mix all together first four ingredients in a large bowl.
• Stir in apples. Sift in flour, salt, soda and cinnamon gradually, beating till it becomes smooth.
• Batter will be stiff. Blend in the nuts.
• Bake in greased pan in a 350ºF oven for half an hour, till it tests as done.
• for pouring the buttermilk sauce, punch holes in hot cake with a tong-tined fork, moving tines gently back and forth, making even rows across cake.
• Spoon hot buttermilk sauce over hot cake until most of sauce are covered.
• Let stand at least an hour before serving.
• you can also add extra sauce spooned over individual pieces if needed.

Steps to Follow For Buttermilk Sauce :

• Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl
• Stir over medium heat until boiling.
• Remove from heat and it is ready for your use.
