Free Baby Shower Games : Name Games

1. Alphabet Name Game
   Start the game by saying a baby name that starts with A. Have the person next to you continue with a B name, the next person with a C name and so forth. If a player cannot give a name within a couple seconds during their turn, they are out of the game. Keep going until one player remains. This gets tricky after a few rounds, especially with Q, X and Z names.

2. Suggest Baby's Name
   Suggest the baby's name. It is helpful to the parents if they have not decided the baby name yet.

3. Names Out of Phrase _____
   Have guests try and come up with the most baby names from a phrase such as "Thank you for coming to our baby shower today!".
   Same as above game, only make words out of the phrase instead of baby names.

4. Names Out of Parents-to-be
   Same as above only make names out of the combined names of the parents-to-be instead of a phrase.

5. The Name Game!
   If the parents-to-be have decided a name for their baby, you can pre-print the baby's name on some paper give every guess a sheet and let them see how many words they can come up with, within about 60 seconds. Make sure you have a timer.

6. Baby's Name Game With "TWIST"
   Pass out paper and pens to each guest. Tell the guests to suggest the baby name, write the baby's name down the edge of the paper. Now tell them look through their purse and find items beginning with each letter. The one who gets them all the quickest wins. For more fun, have the winner go through her list and show everyone what she had.

7. Name-Tag Game
   Each guest was given a nametag. Each name tag had an interesting word related to baby such as diaper, baby food, wipes, nipples, pacifier, receiving blanket, etc. When the guest received her nametag, which becomes their new name. If the guests were caught using someone's real name they had to put money (pennies, dollars, any amount) in a special basket for the baby.
   It was quite funny hearing everyone making comments like, "Is that present from Wipes?" and "Diaper, will you please pass me a napkin?".

8. Mom-to-be's Name Game
   Give each guest pen and paper. Write down the mom-to-be's name on each paper. Then ask the guests to think of baby names beginning with each of the letters in her name. The guest who finished first was the winner.
